OBJECTIVE: providing essentials on establishment and exploitation of Industrial Property tools, inventions, utility models, design models two and three-dimensional marks, either in active phases, as an economic lever apt to facilitate business development or in passive phases, when they become necessary to defend undertakings from hostile moves of competitors.

CONTENT: relevant aspects of the phases preliminary to the establishment of patents, designs and trademarks and the exploitation, taking into account the relevant legislation and the most famous international conventions governing such instruments; procedural steps of these titles’ lifecycle; cues to build titles reasonably free from pre-existing rights, firm grounds to contrast competitors and valuable assets in merge and acquisition operations.
