Expected Learning Outcomes

The course intends to analyze the relationship between pedagogy and the world of work, trying to provide the tools for a pedagogical reading of the working dimension seen in its socio-economic and educational evolution. Particular emphasis will be given to training issues (employability, placement, training, apprenticeship) and to the theme of the relationship between learning and knowledge.

Course Structure

The course includes lectures and laboratory exercises relating to the field of social and work pedagogy and the understanding of the main core themes of the discipline.

Required Prerequisites

Know the basic elements that characterize social and work pedagogy in relation to its specific object of investigation and the methodological strategies underlying it.

Detailed Course Content

The teaching aims to focus attention on the following topics: Presentation of the Course and meaning of the object of investigation of the pedagogy of work; Reference epistemologies; Pedagogical and social dimensions of work; Work as a training process; Relationship between young people, school and work; Alternating design; Professional practices in action; Didactic skills; Competencies and skills in teaching professionalism; Capability Approach Capacitive learning environments.

Ongoing verification, which is carried out with "attending" students through laboratory activities;
