Learning Objectives

  • ENGLISH AS A WORLD LANGUAGE
    A key objective is to present a new perspective on some aspects of the contemporary world, through the lens of the English language. In particular, the following skills/abilities will be focused on:
    - Reading skills;
    - Ability to synthesize, to express an opinion on the subject, in English;
    - Correct approaches to pronunciation;
    - Listening skills.
  • ENGLISH AS A MEANS OF COMMUNICATION

Detailed Course Content

  • ENGLISH AS A WORLD LANGUAGE

    Through the use of educational supports such as reading texts in English, listening and video, the course explores cultural and linguistic aspects of the UK today, as well as the language and culture of the United States of America. Historical and political aspects will be discussed during the lessons, such as the identity of the British people today.
