I. History of Sicily (Early Modern Age)

Overview on History of Sicily during Medieval and Early Modern Age (13th-18th centuries)

 

II. Truths, falsehood and fake news about History of Sicily

The course will examine the problem of scientific truth and the political use of fake news with particular attention to truths and falsehood about History of Sicily. The course is in conjuction with the course of "Metodologia della ricerca storica", prof. Enrico Iachello, Laurea magistrale in "Filologia moderna", Dept. of "Scienze umane".

 

III. Sciences and scientists in Sicily (XVIII-XIXth Centuries)

The analysis of the scientific and cultural context of Sicily, with a follow-up on Catania, will look into thematics of the first part of course.
