Information Technology Skills
Academic Year 2025/2026 - Teacher: ANGELO NICOLOSIExpected Learning Outcomes
Knowledge and understanding
The COMPUTER AND TELEMATICS SKILLS program, borrowed from the COMPUTER LAB, covers topics that provide students with the skills they need to use the main office software tools confidently and effectively. It involves the study and in-depth analysis, including through laboratory exercises, of the main word processing and spreadsheet software.
Further in-depth study is provided in the processing of digital images and knowledge of the main software tools required by the Digital Administration Code (CAD).
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
At the end of the course, students will be able to use electronic computers through software tools that also allow the sharing of data and information, with an awareness of the practices and precautions that must be adopted in order to operate safely.
Independent judgment.
At the end of the course, students will be able to independently identify the computer that best meets their needs for producing and sharing digital images, as well as for processing spreadsheets, taking into account security practices in accordance with the European GDPR Regulation.
Communication skills.
At the end of the course, students will have mastered the digital tools and technologies for the secure processing of data and information in an administrative context. They will be able to discuss the HW and SW structure of computers and their secure use, including in the production of multimedia content, particularly images.
Learning skills.
At the end of the course, students will be able to independently expand their knowledge of computer science by studying reference texts and reading articles in specialized journals.

Learning Assessment
Learning Assessment Procedures
The exam consists of a laboratory test (compulsory) and an oral test (preparatory). The written test, lasting 1 hour and 50 minutes, consists of creating and/or modifying digital documents using Microsoft Word and Excel software. The practical test is considered passed if the candidate has successfully produced the digital documents required by the exam. Those who pass the practical test must complete the exam with the oral test.
Learning assessment may also be carried out online, should conditions require it.
