Expected Learning Outcomes

Knowledge and Understanding

The course aims to provide a framework for the basic mechanisms underlying the functioning of the economic system as a whole, focusing on a microeconomic approach. Its primary goal is to enable students to understand how the overall functioning of the economy also influences the specific elements of business disciplines and the operating logic of business systems.

Applied Knowledge and Understanding

Students must demonstrate an understanding of the logic underlying consumer choices, entrepreneurial behavior, and the differences between the main market structures.

Independent Judgment and Learning Ability

Students must be able to independently and critically understand and discuss the fundamental concepts and mechanisms underlying the tradeoff between unlimited needs and limited resources, entrepreneurial decisions in managing the production process, and equilibria in various market structures.

Communication Skills

Students must clearly develop the main conceptual connections in order to apply the language and argumentative methods specific to the discipline with rigor and simplicity, both in oral and written form.
