At the end of the course, students will be able to know the main theoretical and methodological concepts of the discipline and apply them to the analysis of the labour market, with particular reference to recent trends.

Learning Assessment

Learning Assessment Procedures

Non-attending students will take a single final oral exam on the whole the program.

Attending students, on the other hand, will be able to opt for an alternative method, consisting in an in-course (The sociological analysis of the labour market: Theories and methods / The contemporary labour market) and an end of course test (The contemporary labour market / Unemployment and job search).

To pass the exam, candidates must demonstrate the ability to describe or summarize theories and methods of sociological labour market analysis using appropriate language, as well as critically interpret and apply them empirically analyzing the trends that characterize the contemporary labour market.
