LABORATORIO DI INFORMATICA
Academic Year 2022/2023 - Teacher: GIOVANNI GIUFFRIDAExpected Learning Outcomes
The first part of the course is intended to provide the student with an
introduction to the main topics of computer science with emphasis on
social issues.
In the second part we discuss techniques for storing and retrieving information from relational databases-a topic of great importance to the sociologist who must work closely with databases of various kinds.
Finally, some mention is given of advanced systems for retrieving information automatically (data/text mining) and Big Data.
