Module SOCIAL POLICY ANALYSIS AND PLANNING PROCESSES

Basic Knowledge of sociology, social policy and social research methods

The module is aimed at reconstructing the framework of social policies in Italy, the evolution of regulation of the different interventions' systems in the social sphere, the most recent transformations and the current characteristics of the Italian welfare system. It aims to provide knowledge on how the connection between the collection of information and the activity of planning and programming services is profiled in welfare institutions and to provide students with the essential understanding of the nature of the different social planning models.

Students, through individual and group research, are encouraged to participate in classroom discussions and deepen one or more topics covered during the course through an oral presentation and a written report.
