On December 4th, 10am-1pm, the Colloquium on Philosophy and Global Affairs will host Professor Stefan Dockert (Brock University).  Professor Dockert will present a paper by the intriguing title "Dangerous Liaisons: Darwin, Sex, and Environmental Political Theory." It is an critical analysis of a trend in contemporary political theory to use Darwin to account for how human societies evolve, with repercussions on our residual anthropocentrism, on gender relations as well as on the relations between human and non-human animals.
The participation for students of first and second year is highly recommended, as the meetings of the Colloquium are part of the cultural activities of Glopem. in this perspective, it is essential that people come after having read the paper that will be presented.
