Erasmus incoming students
01 sept 2021 - Covid-19 updates: information for incoming students, professors and staff
Effective September 1th all incoming students, teachers and staff are requested to provide the COVID-19 Green Pass in order to access all the University’s buildings, in accordance with the national law degree n.111, issued on 6th August, 2021. Moreover, we would inform incoming students, teachers and staff that effective August 6, 2021, the “Digital Green Certificate/Green Pass” is necessary to access some locations and participate in certain social activities such as: indoor seated dining at restaurants and bars, museums, exhibitions, cultural sites, sporting events, swimming pools, gyms, concerts, fairs, conferences, amusement parks and other venues.
Certificates issued by the health authorities of the United States, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (including Gibraltar and the Isle of Man, Channel Islands and British bases on the island of Cyprus) and San Marino are equivalent to those of the European Union for access to University, activities and services on the Italian territory such as indoor restaurants, museums and cinemas. For those who have not any vaccination, it is possible to get vaccinated in Catania vaccination hubs. For those who have not the European green Pass the European Commission and the Italian government are looking for some solutions. Meanwhile, they will not be allowed to enter the University. Regarding students, they will be able to follow their first semester classes online, since the University has deliberated to provide all first semester lessons through a synchronized online-face to face modality.
