- Favorire un approccio critico alla letteratura sull'UE e la sua politica estera e di sicurezza. 

- Inquadrare il ruolo dell'UE nella politica estera e di sicurezza all'interno delle "Grand Theories" dell'integrazione europea 

- Inquadrare il ruolo dell'UE nella politica estera e di sicurezza all'interno della teoria delle relazioni internazionali. 

- Comprendere l'impegno dell'UE attraverso interventi militari e civili 

- Favorire l'esperienza di dibattito su questioni politiche pratiche. 

- Coinvolgere e favorire l'interazione pro-attiva durante le lezioni
