The Foundations of Human Rights

Lunedì 4 novembre, alle 8,45, nell’Aula “21 Marzo” del Dipartimento di Scienze politiche e sociali, il prof. Eric Heinze terrà una lezione nell’ambito del corso di Filosofia politica tenuto dal prof. Fabrizio Sciacca.

L’evento, aperto anche agli allievi del dottorato di ricerca in Scienze politiche, si colloca nell’ambito del ciclo dei “Seminari Catanesi di Filosofia politica” edel Piano di Ricerca Linea 2 “Rappresentanza: crisi e superamento di un modello?” coordinati dal prof. Sciacca.

Eric Heinze. Gurista, è professore di Law and Humanities alla School of Law della Queen Mary University di Londra. È anche Direttore esecutivo del Centre for Law, Democracy and Society e Responsabile del progetto europeo “Memory Laws in European and Comparative Perspective”. Autore di importanti volumi come Hate Speech and Democratic Citizenship (Oxford University Press) e The Concept of Injustice (Routledge), Heinze offre agli studenti e agli studiosi dell’Università di Catania una preziosa occasione per riflettere sul grande tema filosofico e politico del fondamento dei diritti umani e su alcuni problemi pratici a esso correlati.
