Learning Objectives
The objective is to assist the students to develop their linguistic abilities in three main areas: reading, listening and conversation, on topics in the area of political rhetoric

Frontal lesson, pair and small groupwork, reading, translation and summary, video and listening exercises
Detailed Course Content
Some speeches by prominent 20th/21st century politicians: Tony Benn, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Theresa May and Winston Churchill. Studies of the social context of the various speeches and application of the critical methodology to their elucidation.
